Q1: What if I’m a subscriber but I have to skip a week? 

A1: No problem. Just be sure to let us know via phone or email by Friday before the week you will miss, and your card will be credited that week. If you’re a new subscriber and have to skip a week, you will be credited after the first subscription period of four deliveries.

Q2: Do you accommodate special diets and/or food allergies?

A2: Given Cuisine Claire’s business model, it is not practical to accommodate numerous special diets.  That said, with notice, it’s sometimes possible to provide an alternative for certain dishes, e.g. a gluten-free, nut-free or dairy-free option, if we can still vouch for the taste, texture and quality. Another option is to substitute a selection(s) from the Add-on menu or a request larger portion of certain dishes in lieu of others. Finally, some folks just give the occasional dish to a friend or neighbor. 

Q3: What is your delivery area, and is there a delivery charge?

A3: At this time, we offer FREE DELIVERY within Bellingham city limits and Sudden Valley (most, but not all, areas within 98225, 98226, 98229). We are considering an extended Whatcom/Skagit delivery area with a fee and hope to add that to our services soon. Mt. Vernon/Burlington residents: please email or call to inquire. 

Q4: Is there a container fee, or do I have to return your containers?

Q4: No, all of our packaging is recyclable, reusable or compostable, so there is no need to return containers and we do not charge a container deposit. However, there may be a refundable deposit for a cooler or charge for insulated bags if no one is home to receive your delivery and meals will be left for several hours. 

Q5: Where do you cook?

Q6: Meals are prepared in a county health department-approved commercial kitchen.

Q6: Do you offer gift certificates and how can I order one?

Q6: The easiest way to make a gift of meal delivery is to use the online form and choose the one-time service (either Le Petit Menu or the Regular Plan), filling in the recipient’s information for delivery location. When we receive notice of your order, we can get in touch to see if you want us to send you a certificate to present yourself, or if you want us to contact the recipient. There are any number of ways to make it work.
